Our 2008/2009 Trial Season was scaled back some do to my wife's transfer at work. She had to start working every other weekend which limited the amount of trials I could attend. I had to be be Mr. Mom those weekends. However, we accomplished some good things with the limited amount of trailing. I ran two new dogs, ("Dot" in the fall and "Fritzie" in the spring) and did well with them. "Rusty" also earned his 2nd Championship. Some of "Rusty's" pups began competing and placing as well. All of Rusty's pups were handled by thier owners. Below is some of the accomplishments.

1.  On 9/21/08, at Bartlessville, Oklahoma, "Dot" placed 3rd in her very first trial weekend. Rusty also picked up a second this weekend.

2. On the weekend of October 4th & 5th, again at Bartlesville, Rusty took another 2nd and Dot placed 4th in her second weekend trial.

3. On 10/12/08, at Taloga, Oklahoma, Abbey (Rusty X Kimber 2007), took 3rd place at the age of 19 months.

4. On 10/18/08, Cash (Rusty X Sue 2008) obtained a Prize I at a NAVHDA Natural Ability Test at the age of 7 months.

5. On the weekend of November 1st and 2nd, 2008, at Enid Oklahoma, Rusty took a 3rd, the 1st day, earning his 2nd Championship. On the second day Rusty took another 3rd while one of his pups (Duke -  Rusty X Ginger 2006) took a third place on the other field.

6. On 2/22/09, at Bartlesville, Rusty took 3rd and Duke (Rusty X Ginger 2006) took 4th.

7. On 3/7/09 and 3/8/09, at Bartlesville, Fritzie place a 1st and a 3rd at just her third weekend trial. These placements came while she was braced against two different 2x Champion dogs. Pepper (who I raised) also took a 3rd during this weekend.

8. On 3/21/2009 and 3/22/2009, at Bartlesville, Fritzie took another 3rd, in just her fourth trial weekend. Also this weekend, Abbey (Rusty X Kimber 2007) took two 4th places.

9. During the first weekend of April, 2009, the Oklahoma Region Elimination Trial was ran. Duke (Rusty X Ginger 2006) made the round of the final six and placed 5th overall.

10. The weekend of May 2nd and 3rd, 2009 saw my trial season come to an end. Rusty took a 1st this weekend and Duke (Rusty X Ginger 2006) took a third.

Looking forward to the 2009/2010 Trial Season already.
